 About Us

Alfi Alvarez

Before a career in music was an option, Alfi was always interested in the power of music by listening to a variety of artists like Gershwin, Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles, Elvis, Bob Dylan, and the list goes on. Admiring the talents of all these artists, it was in high school where he took up weekly guitar lessons and performed in a number of groups in and out of school.

His talents  got him accepted into the prestigious Berklee College of Music in 2008. Soon after, he pursued a diverse career in the music industry working in publishing, studio recording, composing music for film and advertising, and radio. However, his biggest passion was always collaborating, teaching and mentoring students of his own.  A strong advocate of music education, Alfi started to see the bigger picture and what he can bring to music education in his local community.

Our Idea

Our idea is to bring together a music community where students can learn, explore and create in a fun, creative and expanding environment. We believe in a school where teachers are more than instructors, they are your friends and mentors; where your classmates are more than acquaintances, but rather, your bandmates whom you depend on. We strive to be a school that caters to everyone's musical interests and goals. Most importantly, we just want to have fun!

Alfi's School of Music operates as an all-in-one music school providing kids and adults access to private lessons, group theory classes, ensembles and more! It is a school for musicians by musicians. Here, everyone can be coached and taught by seasoned professionals of the music industry who also have experience teaching.
